Product Recall in Belgium

Safety Warning from PepsiCo BeLux
Products:  Lay's Wokkels and Lay's Bugles
Nature of the problem: Product may contain non-food-grade mineral oil

PepsiCo BeLux is recalling Lay's Wokkels, Lay's Bugles. During two days of production at the PepsiCo factory in the Netherland, a non-food-safe mineral oil containing MOSH and MOAH was unintentionally introduced into the product. There is no immediate concern for those who have consumed these products, as the food safety risk is low. As the affected products may contain mineral oils, which are not permitted in the European Union, they may pose a health risk if consumed regularly over an extended period. PepsiCo is recalling all the products listed below and asks consumers not to consume them. In Belgium, there are only a limited number of products being recalled in most of the retail landscape, and precautionary measures are being taken. This can be different from the Dutch retail chains Albert Heijn, Jumbo and Action, where more products are involved due to the supply coming from the Netherlands.

Under the expiration date, consumers can find a code. If the code starts with BV, the products come from the Belgian factory and these products are therefore not in scope. However, if the code starts with NLB, the products come from the Netherlands and may be in scope. In this case, you need to check the list below.
